Mumbai, December 5: 2 crew members are missing after a guided missile frigate INS Betwa slipped on the dock blocks while undocking at the Naval Dockyard here on Monday, as per the  official statement.

14 Personnel have been rescued from the dock with minor injuries. The diving is in progress to look for two missing crew members said the officials. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

The incident occurred around 1.50 pm when the ship was undergoing a refit at the dry dockyards here.

The 3,800 tonne Brahmaputra-Class frigate was commissioned into the Indian Navy in July 2004. There is no information whether the vessel had touched the ground after slipping in the dry dock.
