Indo-Israeli Brack-8 missile test-fires from Chandipur


In a wake for the development of the country, India on Thursday test fired a new surface-to-air missile developed jointly with Israel from a defence base in Chandipur (Odisha).

Earlier, the officials at DRDO had informed that the test-firing was to be jointly conducted by defence personnel, DRDO and Israel Aerospace Industries.

The system also includes a multi-functional surveillance and threat alert radar (MF STAR) for tracking, detection and guidance of the missile.

As per PTI report, as a precautionary measure, the district administration had temporarily moved 3,652 people who resided within 2.5 km radius of the launch site in Balasore district of Odisha.
