India’s COVID19 case tally crosses 42 lakh mark with a spike of 90,802 new cases

With 90,802 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the tally in India has now breached the 42 lakh mark. The toll stands at 71,642 with 1016 deaths reported on Sunday.

India’s coronavirus COVID19 case tally crosses 42 lakh mark with a spike of 90,802 new cases & 1,016 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

The total case tally stands at 42,04,614 including 8,82,542 active cases, 32,50,429 cured/discharged/migrated & 71,642 deaths according to Ministry of Health.

Only the United States, where more than 61 lakh people have so far been found to be infected, is ahead of India. Haryana leader Deepender Hooda, Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac are among the politicians who tested positive on Sunday.

India’s Covid-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23 and it went past 40 lakh on September 5.

According to the ICMR, a cumulative total of 4,95,51,507 samples have been tested up to September 6 with 7,20,362 samples being tested on Sunday.
