India remembers iron man Sardar Patel on birth anniversary


New Delhi, Oct 31 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary and remembered his contribution to India.




“Paid floral tributes to the great Sardar Patel,” Modi wrote in another with a picture.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also paid tribute to Saradar Vallabhbhai Patel and said that the country will remain ever obliged to him.


Vallabhbhai Patel was born on October 31, 1875 in Nadiad, a small village in Gujarat. He was conferred with Bharat Ratna in 1991 for his service to the nation. He was popularly known as the ‘Iron man’ of India.
