Mehbooba Mufti pays tribute to Uri attack bravehearts

Srinagar,Sep 19 :Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti led senior Army officials in paying tributes at the wreath laying ceremony for the 17 soldiers killed in the militant attack on an Army base in Uri.

While two of the 17 soldiers hail from Jammu & Kashmir, rest of them belong to Uttar Pradesh (four), Bihar (three), Maharashtra (three), West Bengal (two), Jharkhand (two) and Rajasthan (one).

Wreaths on the coffins of the martyred soldiers was laid by Chief Minister at a somber ceremony held at headquarters of the Chinar Corps here at Badamibagh.
General officer Commanding of the Chinar Corps Lt General Satish Dua and Director General of Police K Rajendra Kumar were among senior security officials who laid wreaths to pay their respects, said an Army official.

Mehbooba Mufti then visited the soldiers who got injured  during yesterday’s attack, at the 92 Base Hospital of the Army, the official said.
