India avenged Uri: All you need to know about India’s surgical strike

India carried out “surgical strikes” across the Line of Control (LOC) in Jammu and Kashmir in order to get rid of the infiltrations.

The Indian Army attacked the terrorists’ shelters in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and killed several terrorists.

It was India’s first major strike on Pakistan after PoK-based terrorists attacked an Indian Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri area earlier this month, killing 18 Indian soldiers.

This is how India avenged Uri attacks which left 18 soldiers dead, it is India’s first major strike on Pak.

All you need to know regarding the Surgical strikes carried out by Indian Army

The surgical operation began at 12:30 AM on Wednesday. Paratroopers from Special forces were also the part of the operation. The operation was carried out as the army had specific and credible information that the terrorists are ready to infiltrate.

The commandos crossed the LOC over to the Pakistani side, they were airdropped at the Line of Control. To carry out the surgical strike the Indian commandos went three kilometers beyond LOC.

The strikes were carried out in Bhimber, Hotspring, Kel & Lipa sectors, on Pak’s side of LoC, according to reports, with the location being 500 metres to 2 km from the LoC on the Pakistani side.

During the Strike, with no Indian casualties, 38 terrorists and two Pakistani soldiers were killed. Also, 7 terror launch pads were destroyed. The long four-hour operation was ended at 4:30 am.

During the surgical strike, the mission was monitored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, NSA Ajith Doval and apex Army officials.
