Pune , April 5: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday assured that income tax won’t be raised to fund the Nyuntam Aay Yojna (Nyay) -minimum income scheme.

“I want to guarantee you that money for NYAY will not come from middle class and income tax will not be raised. The money for NYAY will come from the people who have dominated the banking system”, he said on being asked about the funds for the (Nyay) scheme.

While interacting with students in Pune, the AICC Chief stated his party manifesto is an expression from all the stakeholders of the country and the concept of NYAY has come from the people of India.

On Demonetisation, Gandhi said ‘Unfortunately, Note Ban was a disastrous idea. Millions of jobs were lost and economy was jammed shut”.

“We want to give new entrepreneurs access to banking and exemption from seeking permission for the first 3 years”, he added.
