In order to mark the two years of MyGov and reach out to the people and directly interact with them, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a ‘Town Hall’, Obama Style meeting on Saturday at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex in New Delhi.
The day-log event will begin at 10 AM, while Modi’s session is scheduled between and 5 and 6 PM. The event is being organised to celebrate the second anniversary of the MyGov platform, which was launched on 26 July 2014 by Modi.
Chief executive of MyGov, Gaurav Dwivedi said: “There are 35 lakh registered users who participated in the online polls, surveys and discussions. Out of the total users, 40%-50% are active. The selection of people who will attend the town hall event was made by choosing the people who have responded the most number of times on the MyGov website.”
Dwivedi said the selection of people attending the meeting was based on the ideas, level of engagement, questions and suggestions given by users of MyGov.
However, PM will also launch a new PMO app at the ‘Town Hall’ that will connect mobile users with website of the Prime Minister’s Office and distribute awards to winners of MyGov contests—Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat, Duties of a Citizen, Governance Quiz and India Africa Quiz.
