The Prime Minister Narendra Modi who call himself the sevak of country and swears-in to work for the welfare of countrymen, seems that he is not getting the same from his ministers. As the leaders of Modi cabinet appear to have left no stone unturned in creating lavish office space for themselves.

Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani along with MoS for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore are among those who have spent hundreds of thousands of rupees to create personal comfort.

However according to the report, the top four Cabinet ministers of the government: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar have not spent any money on improving their offices.

The report said that 23 ministers had incurred a total expenditure of nearly Rs 3.5 crore on office renovations in the first two years of the current government. The report added that it was awaiting a response on its RTI queries regarding other ministers.
