New Delhi, May 17: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predicted a spell of rain and thunderstorm, accompanied with gusty winds (50-70 kmph) across the country including Delhi-NCR in the next three hours. Meanwhile, some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh are also “very likely” to experience thunderstorm and squall on Friday.

The IMD said that the states likely to be affected by thunderstorms and storms are Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and parts of North West India over next three days. Rajasthan may also witness Dust storm.
Earlier, on Sunday Duststorm, hail and lightning claimed over 50 lives in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Delhi.
