If you don’t keep your promise, we’ll contest on all 80 seats: Rajbhar to BJP


Lucknow, Jan 18: Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) Chief OP Rajbhar on Friday threatened to break alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party over sub-categorization of the 27 per cent OBC quota into three categories.

“BJP had promised to implement divisions under 27% reservation for backward classes”, Rajbhar.

The SBSP Supremo further said “80 days are left till elections, when will you do it? If you don’t keep your promise we’ll contest on all 80 seats, we’ll release candidates list on 25 February”.

Earlier also Rajbhar, who is a cabinet minister in the Adityanath government, had threatened the ruling party for the sub-categorization of the OBC reservation.

“If the alliance with the BJP has to continue, then there should be a division of reservation quota of the backward castes into three categories — backward, very backward) and most backward”, he had said.
