Guwahati, Sep 17: Assam Bharatiya Janata Party chief Ranjit Kumar Das said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not re-elected in the 2019 general elections, India will witness a catastrophic earthquake.
Das made the statement while addressing a meeting of BJP’s office-bearers, district presidents and party in-charge for the assembly constituencies.
He said it will be “great loss” for the country, if Modi is not elected again, adding one can imagine the extent of damage if an earthquake of 8010 magnitudes will hit India.
“We do not want our country to plunge into such a calamity. So we all have to work together to bring back Modi”, Das added.
BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh was also present in the meeting.
The aim of Saturday’s meeting was to encourage grassroots workers and discuss strategies to improve its performance in the state ahead of upcoming elections.
