New Delhi, May 9: BJP leader Manoj Kashyap, who is the party in charge for the Braj region, said if the saffron party lost the Kairana Lok Sabha by-election then there will be Diwali-like celebrations in Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.
Kashyap’s remark was in reference with BJP’s defeat in Gorakhpur and Phulpur (bypolls).
“You will definitely cry if she loses while there will be Diwali in Pakistan, J&K and in anti-Modi camps”, he is purportedly heard saying in a video while addressing workers after the inauguration of the BJP’s campaign office in Kairana on Monday, the Indian Express reported.
“Our Prime Minister is ready to sacrifice his life for the welfare of the country’s 125 crore people,”the BJP leader added.
Kashyap further stated “When our leader goes to the US, the American President hugs him… But when Pakistan’s PM goes there, he is frisked”.
However, this is not the first time that the saffron party leader came up with such kind of remark, as earlier during the Bihar assembly polls BJP President Amit Shah had also said there will be celebrations in Pakistan if his party loses.
