ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, Ind Vs Pak: India restricted to 169/9 against Pakistan

New Delhi, July 2: India take on Pakistan in their third group game in the ICC Women’s World Cup at the County Ground in Derby seeking a third win in three games.

Pakistan, on the other hand, have lost both their group games so far. Historically, India have beaten Pakistan in all their nine ODI encounters and, on paper, the streak is likely to continue.

Smriti Mandhana is in sublime form and the spinners have aided the batsmen. Mithali Raj will lead India while Pakistan will be captained by Sana Mir.

India restricted to 169/9 against Pakistan . Sushma Verma’s cameo comes to end as Diana takes a good catch in deep. Goswami became Nashra’s fourth dismissal. Sadia first removed Harmanpreet after captain Sana Mir took a stunner at short mid-wicket and then cleaned up Meshram. Nashra struck twice in one over to remove Raj and Deepti Sharma. Nashra deceived Punam Raut with the flight as the batter closed the face of the bat early and gave a sitter to the bowler to depart for 47. Smriti Mandhana has failed to continue her impressive showing to depart for 2. Mithali Raj won the toss earlier.
