IAF scrambles fighter jets after Chinese choppers spotted in Ladakh along LAC

New Delhi, May 12: Indian Air Force was forced to rush its Sukhoi-30 fighters in Ladakh after Chinese military choppers were found to be flying close to the Line of Actual Control.This manoeuvres happened at the time of the stand-off between the Chinese PLA and Indian soldiers on May 5 in the upper reaches of North Sikkim.

Last week, Indian and Chinese People’s Liberation Army troop were involved in a scuffle on the banks of the high-altitude Pangong Lake in Eastern Ladakh and also in North Sikkim which led to injuries on both sides. Several Indian and Chinese soldiers were injured in the incident in Ladakh.
