IAF bases in Jammu and Kashmir on high alert over suicide attack threats

New Delhi, Sep 25 : Indian Air Force Bases in and around Jammu and Kashmir have been put on high alert at orange level after Intelligence agencies issued warning that Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists are planning to carry out a suicide attack.

A module, of 8-10 Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists are present in Jammu and Kashmir for carrying out a suicide attack .

” IAF bases in Srinagar, Awantipora, Jammu, Pathankot, Hindon have been put on high alert at orange level. Senior officers are reviewing security arrangements 24×7 to tackle the threat,” Top government sources said.

The alert has emanated after agencies monitored movements of Jaish terrorists. Intelligence agencies have issued warning against a module, of 8-10 Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists, which will possibly try to carry out a suicide attack against Air Force bases in and around Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval are on the hit list of Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad.

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security recently received a letter which said the terror group was planning to target PM Modi, Amit Shah and NSA Doval over the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
