Jaipur, Dec 7: Reacting to Loktantrik Janata Dal party leader Sharad Yadav’s body shame remark, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday said that he did not only hurt her but also insulted all women.

“To set an example for future it’s important that the election commission takes cognisance of this kind of language”, Raje told media.

“I actually feel insulted&I think even women are insulted”, she added.

Addressing a rally in Alwar on Thursday, Yadav made a derogatory remark against the Rajasthan chief minister.

“Vasundhra ko aaram do, bahut thak gayi hain, bahut moti ho gayi hain, pehle patli thi. Humare Madhya Pradesh ki beti hai” (Give her some rest, she is tired and becoming fat. Earlier she was slim. She is a daughter of our Madhya Pradesh), he told a gathering.

Raje is fighting for a second consecutive term in the state. The polling will take place on December 7 and the counting of votes to be held on December 11.

She is contesting Assembly elections from Jhalrapatan constituency against BJP veteran Jaswant Singh’s son Manvendra Singh, who had recently joined the Congress.
