Hyderabad, Nov 12 : An Hyderabad-bound Indigo flight, 6E-6468, had to return to Cochin making an emergency landing due to hydraulic failure in the main landing gear of the airplane.
The airline has released a statement claiming that the emergency landing was made as a “precautionary measure”.
“After take-off, the pilot observed a hydraulic warning which warranted the return of the aircraft. To avoid inconvenience to passengers, we will operate an alternate flight to Hyderabad,”Indigo said.
Although the number of passengers has not yet been confirmed, all of them are reported to be safe.
In another instance, two IndiGo planes averted a mid-air collision over the India-Bangladesh border after the two aircraft came to the same level and were later diverted away from each other.
