Hooda declares himself as CM candidate, with or without Congress

Rohtak, Aug 18: After four decades of association with the Congress, Haryana’s two-time chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday declared himself as the chief ministerial candidate, with or without his party and said he has supported abrogation of Article370 in Jammu and Kashmir as “brothers from Haryana are deployed as soldiers in Kashmir” and assured that if he is voted to power then 75 percent of the jobs will be given to the people of the state.

Former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said, “If we form the government, we will bring a law like Andhra Pradesh, so that 75% of jobs go to the people of Haryana.”

“I was born in a patriotic family, those who oppose (abrogation of #Article370), I want to tell them “usulon par jahan aanch aaye, vahan takrana zaruri hai, jo zinda hai to zinda dikhna zaruri hai”, Hooda said.

Hooda announced his own manifesto, declaring various sops, including 75 per cent reservation in jobs for the people of Haryana.

Vidhan Sabha polls are due in October this year.

In Rohtak, Hooda at stage at“Parivartan rally” in Rohtak began his address by saying, “Aaj main apni saari paabandiyon se mukt ho kar yahan aaya hoon (I have freed myself from all restrictions to come here today)”.

” I support the decision to abrogate but I want to tell Haryana Govt that you will have to give an account of what you did in 5 years, don’t hide behind this decision. Our brothers from Haryana are deployed as soldiers in Kashmir, that is why I supported it,” former chief minister said.

“When government does something right I support them. Many of my colleagues opposed the decision to abrogate Article370, my party has lost its way, it’s not the same Congress it used to be. When it comes to patriotism & self-respect, I’ll not compromise with anyone,” he said.
