New Delhi, Sep 22 : In a direct attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the multi-crore Rafale jet deal, Congress President Rahul Gandhi asked the Prime Minister to come clean on former French President Francois Hollande’s remarks that contradicted the Indian government’s stand on the Rafale deal.
“It is very important for PM now to either accept Mr. Hollande’s statement or state that Mr. Hollande is lying and tell what the truth is,” the Congress president said at a press conference at AICC headquarters in Delhi.
He further said, “for the first time, an ex-French President Hollande has termed Indian PM a thief.”
Rahul Gandhi said that Narendra Modi, who claims to be the ‘chowkidaar’ of India is ‘chor’ as PM gave Anil Ambani a free gift worth Rs 30,000 crore in the form of Rafale deal contract.
“Defence Minister Nirmala, Manohar Parrikar and Arun Jaitley didn’t sign the contract but PM Modi personally signed the Rafale deal contract but Naredra Modi is maintaining complete silence in this matter, Rahul Gandhi said.
Rahul Gandhi said, ” The youth of India must listen that you believed in Modi and inturn Prime Minister personally gave Rs30000 Crore contract to Ambani because Reliance group has a debt of Rs45,000 crore and Modi ji helped his friend by taking money from the pocket of Indian citizens and giving it to Anil Ambani.”
“Modi has broken the trust of over 130 crore population,” the Congress President said.
“We’re absolutely convinced that the Prime Minister of India is corrupt. This question is now clearly settled in the mind of the Indian people that ‘desh ka chowkidaar’ chor hai, Rahul Gandhi said.
Gandhi said, “The Prime Minister should clarify if what the ex-French President is saying is true or false.”
“Ex-President of France has made a statement about the PM of India. He says with regard to Rafale contract, ‘we didn’t have any say in this matter. It’s the Indian govt that proposed’. Now, the Prime Minister should clarify on his statement, he said.
Anil Ambani has never built an aircraft in his life. He floated his company few days before the deal, yet, the deal was taken away from HAL and given to Anil Ambani, who has a ₹45000Cr debt: Congress President
