Hindu Munnani’s Sasikumar murdered: Coimbatore Unrest


Hindu Munnani administrator Sasikumar was murdered by a group of people at Subramaniampalayam on Thursday night.

The organisation has called for a bandh – shops and business organizations were kept closed on Sathyamangalam Road Mettupalayam Road, Sanganoor Road, and other parts of the city. This happened as the Hindu Munnani activist Sasikumar was killed on Thursday night.

Transportation including Bus, taxi, and auto rickshaw remain closed. For the safety of the students, the schools were also closed but government schools were unaffected.

More than 500 policemen led by SPs and six DSP were keeping law and order intact. The police has taken help from Tirpur and Dharmapuri districts and had sought additional strength.

This bandh called for a lot of trouble for the people heading towards their offices as public transport was not available.

Sasikumar’s body has been kept for post-mortem at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital and the Coimbatore City police have increased the security there.
