Himalayan Queen Express train driver applied emergency brakes, 10 injured

Haryana, Nov 2: In a fresh case of negligence in a train, more than 10 passengers of Himalayan Queen Express injured after the driver of train applied emergency brakes in Karnal’s Gharaunda in Haryana on Thursday.

According to the station master of Gharaunda, the train was arriving in speed after which he immediately inquired driver about it but he didn’t reply.  He asserted that negligence is on driver’s part.

The train stopped near Gharaunda for some time. The injured were given first aid. Passengers on board protested the sudden application of brakes.

The Delhi Sarai Rohilla Kalka Himalyan Queen Express is an express train of the Northern Railway zone that connects Chandigarh with New Delhi.
