Himachal Rains: 5 people feared missing after car washed away in Manali

Manali, Sep 24: Five people feared missing on Monday after a car washed away in Manali following heavy rainfall.

“Five people feared missing after a car was washed away in Manali”, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Raman Gharsangi told ANI.

Earlier in a day, Indian Air force rescued two people stranded near NHPC Colony, Nagwain in Kullu district.

Heavy rains and flash flood in the region affected the normal in the region. Most of the traffic has been stopped in the district.

Meanwhile, Ravi river is still flowing at a dangerous level.

Speaking to media, Doctor Monika, Chamba SP said ” Ravi river is still flowing at dangerous level, but we are hopeful as rainfall has reduced to drizzling. Evacuations in low lying areas being done since yesterday. Most of the traffic has been stopped in the district:

In the wake of bad weather condition, Kullu Deputy Commissioner Yunus Khan urged people not to go to high reach areas and near rivers.
