Helicopter fails to take off in Badrinath; engineer dies

Uttarakhand, June 10, 2017: A Helicopter carrying eight passengers onboard crashed in Badrinath on Saturday after it failed to take off.

As per the initial reports, the helicopter could not gain height, resulting in the accident. The passengers and pilot of the helicopter were safe after the accident, but the engineer on board died after he got strangled in the blades of the air vehicle.

The chopper was carrying pilgrims from Badrinath to Haridwar, carrying five pilgrims, two pilots and an engineer. The reports further said that the accident happened at 7:45 am.
