Heavy rains lash Delhi-NCR

New Delhi, July 13: Parts of the city and National Capital Region received heavy showers on Friday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, season’s average.

Earlier the IMD officials had predicted the rains.

“It will be generally cloudy sky with chances of moderate rains likely to occur later in the day,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official had said.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius and the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 74 per cent.

On Thursday, the maximum settled at 37.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average while the minimum was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season’s average.
