Heavy rain lashes Madhya Pradesh leaving streets waterlogged

New Delhi, July 17: Heavy rains lashed parts of Madhya Pradesh, including the state capital, leaving streets waterlogged.

In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Sagar recorded 37.4 mm of rains, Khandwa 29 mm, Pachmarhi 28 mm, Umaria 26.8 mm, Seoni 18.6 mm, Betul 18.4 mm, Mandla 11 mm, Indore 8.6 mm, Ujjain 8 mm, Jabalpur 8.2 mm and Bhopal 7.2 mm of rains.

As per Skymet Weather, the well-marked low-pressure area prevailing over the interior parts of Odisha will also move towards Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, heavy to very heavy rains are expected over many districts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 48 hours. Places such as Narsinghpur, Hoshangabad, Raisen, Jabalpur, Umaria, Damoh, Bhopal, Dewas and Vidisha will record hefty Monsoon rains.
