New Delhi: Haveri has become first district in Karnataka to start preparations to fight possible third wave of COVID-19.
“We’re setting up check-up camps at all Primary health care center (PHCs) to scan children for any possible disease or malnutrition. These camps will cover 2.7 lakh children,” home minister said on Sunday.
These camps will continue till July 31. Apart from general health check-ups, children will also be checked by pediatricians. For malnutrition, children are being given nutrition kits. They’ll be checked again in next 2-3 months, says Basavaraj Bommai, Incharge Minister of Haveri.
