Haryana: Woman gangraped, her body mutilated in Rohtak

New Delhi, May 13, 2017: As the rape incidents alarming security concerns in every state of India. Haryana, which itself initiate the move for women safety once again suffered from the barbarous incident.

A woman was brutally gang-raped and murdered in Rohtak district of Haryana.

According to reports, the incident occurred on May 9 and came to highlight when the girl’s body was found in an empty plot in Rohtak city’s IMT area. The girl was reportedly abducted when she was on her way to work and brutally gang-raped by at least 7 men.

The forensic expert who conducted her post-mortem, Dr SK Dhatarwal said that the victim was gang-raped and mutilated with sharp-edged weapons. Later, the accused tried to run her over to hide her identity.

“The victim was tortured and her body was mutilated and tortured after the gang rape. She was killed after being raped involving at least seven people. Her skull was smashed in a way which indicates that she was run over by a vehicle in order to hide her identity,” the forensic team has stated.

The forensic team also found some drugs in viscera samples.

The girl’s parents had filed a missing complaint, based on which the police tracked her parents down. The parents were called to Rohtak to identify the girl’s body. The distraught parents have claimed that this ghastly attack was carried out by the girl’s neighbour and have demanded capital punishment for the rapists.
