Taking into cognisance the increasing numbers of rape and sexual harassment of women, Chairman of National Commission of Women, Rekha Sharma on Thursday said that she has sought a report from the DGP.

Talking to news agency ANI she said,”I am also concerned about the behaviour of the policemen. I have been receiving a lot of complaints. During their training, they haven’t been trained how to behave with women.”

“They agreed that they will now be doing sensitisation of Haryana Police,” she added.

In last week almost 4 rape cases were registered including a brutal rape of a minor. The opposition party has also questioned the law and order situation in the state and asked for the resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
