Hooda terms Mandate against BJP, Dushyant Chautala Kingmaker

Chandigarh, Oct 24: Seven BJP Cabinet ministers including state chief and Vidhan Sabha speaker are behind their rival candidates. BJP is leading in 38 seats, while Congress snapping in 35 seats. Dushyant Chautala’s JJP is leading in 9 seats and is emerging as a kingmaker. Congress leader DS Hooda has alleged that the BJP is trying to pressurise independent candidates and appealed to the Election Commission to look into the issue.

Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda called all opposition parties to form an alliance against the BJP, to form the next government as the mandate is anti-BJP.

INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala has emerged victorious from his Ellenabad seat. The sitting MLA is the grandson of ex-deputy prime minister, Chaudhary Devi Lal and son of Haryana’s ex-chief minister, Om Prakash Chautala.

It can’t be accepted in democracy.Independent candidates should be able to freely choose the party whom they wish to support. I want to appeal to EC about it through media,” he said.
