Haryana: 7 dead in Ambala Road Accident


Ambala, Dec 29: At least seven persons were killed and five injured after a truck rammed into two cars near Ambala on Saturday.

The accident occured in the fog-enveloped highway close to the Drive In-22 resort near Ambala.

The injured people were rushed the Civil Hospital. Three of them have been referred to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh as their condition was critical.

Earlier on Monday, eight persons had died in a massive pile-up of vehicles in thick fog in Haryana’s Jhajjar district.

Dense fog has been prevailing over most parts of Punjab and Haryana in the past few days, especially along highways.

The region is witnessing cold wave conditions for over a week.
