New Delhi, Jan 27 : Addressing the nation in the 52nd edition of his radio programme, Mann Ki Baat,Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he was happy to fulfil the long standing demand for the release of the files related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Modi praised the Election Commission of India andsaid that it would be the first time that the youth of the 21st century will get a chance to vote in 2019 Lok Sabha Polls.
Will soon launch Chandrayaan-2’: PM
‘We will soon launch Chandrayaan-2 to make India’s mark on Moon’, said PM Modi.
“Today, our space programme is powered by several young scientists. We must take pride in the fact that the satellites developed by our students are reaching the space today. On 24 January Kalam SAT, created by our students, was launched,” he added.
PM Modi remembers Karnataka seer Shivakumara Swami
“We received a sad piece of news this month. Shivakumara Swami ji left us for his heavenly abode. He dedicated his entire life for the service of society. He spent the 111 years of his life working for the social, educational welfare of thousands of people,” said PM Narendra Modi.
” Netaji will always be remembered as a brave soldier and an abled organiser. with his slogans like; ‘Dilli chalo’, ‘Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azadi dunga’, he created a special space for himself in every Indian’s heart. There was a constant demand for the release of files related to Netaji’s death. We are happy to have fulfilled these demands to make the files public, Modi said.
PM Modi appreciates the Election Commission of India
Modi took a moment to honour the Election Commission of India. He spoke about the scale of elections in India and mentioned the hard work put in by the election officials to conduct the polls. He says that the Election Commission was established on January 25 and so this day is being celebrated as ‘National Voter’s Day’.
With the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, it would be the first time that the youth of the 21st century will get a chance to vote and be an important part of the democratic process, says PM Modi.

“I was suggested to talk about exams warriors in this session of Mann ki Baat, however, I am happy to inform you that I will hold a special session Pariksha par Charcha so as to address the students of the country. A few international students will also jin our session this time,” said PM Modi.
