Senior Congress leader and former union cabinet minister Gurudas Kamat, who had quit the Congress recently, on Thursday rejoin the party.
While making statement Kamat said that during last fortnight a large number of Senior Party leaders tried to convince me to rethink on the decision of resignation and meeting with Party President Sonia Gandhi helped me to make up my mind that Congress is the best platform to serve the people.
Will continue to serve under leadership of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. Will meet the people of my in-charge states starting tomorrow, he added.
