Gunshots heard, security forces cordon off areas in Bandipora

Jammu, Jan 3, 2016: Indian Army and J&K’s police on Tuesday cordoned off Sirender and Kota-Satri forest areas of Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir after gunshots were heard.

Earlier in the morning, a Pakistani guerrilla from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit was killed in an ambush by the security forces on the outskirts of north Kashmir’s Sopore town of Baramulla district. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the site.
