Gujarat’s Gohel scripts record breaking triple century record

Jaipur, December 27: A young cricketer from Gujarat made an unceasable, record breaking triple century in a Ranji Trophy match on Tuesday.

Gujarat’s Samit Gohel Made a world record in the first-class cricket for an opener. Knocking off a record-breaking inning, he was 359 not out against Odisha in the Ranji Trophy quarter-final on Tuesday. This is the highest score by an opener anywhere, remaining unbeaten.

During his 723-ball marathon innings, the 26-year-old right-hander eclipsed English batsman Bobby Abel’s record of 357 not out for Surrey against Somerset in 1899.
