New Delhi, July 17: More than two weeks into the goods and services tax regime, the GST Council will meet on Monday to review the implementation of the single tax.
However, this will be the first meeting of GST Council since the since the launch of the single tax on 1 July and while 19th since it was set up in September last year.
This time meeting will take place via video conferencing.
“19th Meeting of GST Council under the chairmanship of finance minister Arun Jaitley will be held through video conferencing on 17 July in Delhi,” the finance ministry tweeted.
The council had last met on June 30 in which it decided to hold next meeting on August 5. But later, the council decided to advance the meeting in order to review the roll out of the tax and take stock of its impact on states and sector.
