Greece gets underwater artwork on climate change

Greece,August 18: A Greek dive centre has teamed up with artists to create an underwater artwork that divers and swimmers can explore.

The sculpture project named ‘Autonomy’ is available to experience all summer until 10 September at Vlychos Beach in Hydra and was created by Forlane 6 Studio comments on climate change.

The wooden installation depicts a village breaking apart and fragmenting into smaller pieces. The end result is a sort of flexible habitat that moves with the motion of the waves and is able to “to bounce back into shape and shift its orientation easily as if gravity was no issue.”

The installation is the latest piece of underwater for European divers can enjoy.
