March 11: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has lost in Mandrem.

The initial counting impressions show that Congress is leading on 6 seats, BJP is leading on 4 and others on 5 seats in Goa Assembly elections. Magic number to win Goa is 21.

Counting of votes polled in the February 4 Goa assembly election started late after 8 : 30 am on Saturday.

For the 40 seats in the state, the BJP fielded candidates in 36 seats, the AAP in 39, Congress in 37 and the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party in 25.
