After Airlines’ ire, Gaikwad expected to meet Sena Chief


New Delhi, March 25: The defiant and shameless Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad on Saturday brushed off the media reports that claimed he has been summoned by Shiv Sena Chief on his arrival.

When contacted Gaikwad said, I have not been called yet and there has been no communication with the Shiv Sena chief.

While senior leader from Shiv Sena Manisha Kayande said, “He is expected to meet Uddhav Thackeray. Party has taken the incident seriously. We do not subscribe to such instances.”

Meanwhile Gaikwad had to travel by New Delhi-Mumbai train on Friday to get back home as all the airlines refused to book Gaikwad after he assaulted a senior airlines staff on board with his slippers on Thursday.

After the video of incident went viral, the unashamed politician stood tall to his actions and was unapologetic throughout.

He said: “Kaahe ka pashchaataap (Why to repent)? I will not apologise … he (Sukumar) should come and apologise. Then we will see. A 60-year-old man should know how to behave.”

He even boasted off to the reporters that he hit him 25 times and taught him a lesson.

Meanwhile the Air India staffer said to media the parliamentarian should be punished.

Reportedly Shiv Sena has sought an explanation from Gaikwad on the issue. Delhi Police has also registered two FIRs, charging him with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

Gaekwad in return also filed a counter case against the Airlines.
