Furnish details of Rafale decision-making process: Supreme Court to Central Government

Rafale deal scam

New Delhi, Oct 10:  The Supreme Court on Wednesday sought a report from the central government with respect to the decision-making process of the Rafale deal.

However, the top court didn’t send any notice to the centre at this point of time.

A bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice K.M. Joseph clarified that the information sought was not related to pricing or technical details of jets.

The information should be furnished in a sealed cover and reach the court by October 29 — the next date of hearing, the bench said.

The court also clarified that it does not want information on cost and technical details of the deal.

The court was hearing of a PIL filed against the Rafale deal between India and France.
