New Delhi, Oct 13: Fuel prices continued to rise on Saturday as Petrol is being sold at Rs 82.66 per litre ( increased by 18 paise per litre) in Mumbai, while diesel retailed at Rs 78.82 per litre (increased by Rs 0.31).
In Delhi, petrol price touched Rs 82.66 per litre with an increase of Rs 0.18, while diesel price rose to Rs 75.19 per litre, an increase of Rs 0.29.
Fuel prices have been witnessing a steep hike since mid-August almost on a daily basis.
In the wake of increasing fuel prices, the central government had announced a cut of Rs 2.50 per litre on petrol and diesel prices and directed the state governments to implement the same.
The cost of petrol and diesel vary from city to city depending on local taxes and transportation cost.
