Fresh case filed against Lalu, CBI Conducts raids at 12 locations


Patna, July 7: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against then Railway Minister in (2006) Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife, son and others on allegations of awarding a tender for hotels in Ranchi and Puri.

The raids were started at 7: 30 am Today said Rakesh Asthana, CBI.

Searches are being conducted today at 12 different locations including Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, Puri and Gurgaon.

Lalu Prasad Yadav was the RailwayMinister in 2006.

CBI filed the case against Lalu Yadav, Tejaswi Yadav, Rabri Devi, Sarla Gupta(wife of RJD’s PC Gupta), then IRCTC MD PK Goyal, Sujata Group, reported Sources.

Security has been beefed up at 10, CirculaRoadad residence of Lalu Prasad Yadav, in Patna,in view of CBI’s FIR in Railway hotel tender case.

While defending himself from the major allegations, Lalu said its is BJP’s conspiracy to let him down and claimed that no wrong was done in the tendering.
