Paris, Dec 6: France’s biggest rockstar, Johnny Hallyday, the leather-trousered “French Elvis”, who sold about 110 million albums and starred in a number of films over a career spanning over half a century. He was 74.
Hallyday had been battling lung cancer, news agency IANS quoted citing the guardian report.
“Johnny Hallyday has left us. I write these words without believing them. But yet, it’s true. My man is no longer with us,” Laeticia Hallyday said Hallyday’s wife on Wednesday.
“He left us tonight as he lived his whole life, with courage and dignity”, she added.
