Lucknow, June 8: The failure of an air-conditioning system at Kanpur hospital has allegedly claimed lives of four patients admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
“People allege 4 patients died due to the failure of air conditioning system at ICU ward of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College” ANI reported on Friday.

Clarifying the incident, Principle of GSVM said: ” 2 deaths occurred due to cardiac arrest and other 2 due to chronic illness”.
“AC plant to be repaired soon”, he added.
Meanwhile, district magistrate Surendra Singh has reportedly ordered a probe into the matter.
Last year, around 30 children had died due to lack of oxygen supply at state-run Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur, the Lok Sabha constituency of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Most deaths were reported from the Neonatal and Encephalitis wards of BRD Hospital College.
