Four men held in Kolkata’s car vandalism case


Kolkata, Sep 19: At least four men have been apprehended in connection with the vandalising of several cars in a house complex in south Kolkata on Sunday, said Police.

Shakti Singh, 36, Rajesh Chaudhary, 40, Amritlal Yadav, 19 and Prakash Roy, 43, were held after the Fort Oasis society reported the case, police said.

As per the Locals, a luxury car on Saturday night killed Abhijit Pandey, 22, who was riding a scooter and took shelter at the housing complex. In a protest against reckless driving, a mob vandalised cars parked in the complex.

While denying the allegations, dwellers of the housing complex raised their security concerns.

Police said that further raids are underway to apprehend the others responsible.
