New Delhi, Sep 27, 2016: A Former Director General of Corporate Affairs BK Bansal, who was arrested in a graft case on Tuesday commits suicide along with his son in his residence in Madhu Vihar of Delhi.
According to the police, Bansal, 60, and his 30-year-old son were found hanging in separate rooms by their maid Rachna in their flat in Neelkanth apartment in east Delhi.
“Bansal’s maid found them hanging inside their flat when she reached there. She raised an alarm and police was informed around 9 a.m,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Rishipal told media. The officer further said that they found a suicide note.
However, Bansal’s wife and daughter had hanged themselves in July.
The CBI has said that it had arrested B.K. Bansal, director general of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, who was dealing with matters related to alleged violations by a Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company, on charges of bribery.
