Five suspects in Gauri Lankesh murder have links with Sanatan Sanstha

The SIT team conducted by Karnatka government has found four suspects in the murder of senior journalist Gauri lankesh.

According to an english daily Indian Express the five men among suspected, Praveen Limkar, 34, from Kolhapur; Jayaprakash alias Anna, 45, from Mangalore; Sarang Akolkar, 38, from Pune; Rudra Patil, 37, from Sangli and Vinay Pawar, 32, from Satara are linked to right wing group Sanatan Sanstha.

Patil, Akolkar and Pawar were also emerged as suspects in Narendra dabholkar and Govind Pansare’s murder in 2013 and 2015 respectively.

Patil along with others 3 are also suspects of 2009 Margao bomb blast which killed one and injured many in Goa.

Many media reports has revealed that the gun used to kill rationalist writer and activist MM Kalburgi is the same which killed journalist Gauri Lankesh.

Senior journalist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead in her house on 5th September 2017 which invited countrywide protest against the killing of rationalist writer.
