Ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari resigns

New Delhi, June 24: Ahead of the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Rebel Bhartiya Janata Party MLA and former Rajasthan minister Ghanshyam Tiwari resigned from the BJP on Monday. 

The BJP MLA sent his resignation to the party chief Amit Shah.

The five-time MLA did not share a very good relation with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

He was the sitting MLA from Sanganer Assembly constituency and attained victory in last election with a margin of over 60,000 votes.

Following his resignation, Tiwari will now join the ‘Bharat Vahini Party’ formed by his son Akhilesh to contest the Assembly polls, which are scheduled to take place later this year.

Tejashvi Prasad to be CM face for 2020 Bihar elections, Says Manjhi

Patna, June 25: Hindustani Awam Morcha supremo Jitan Ram Manjhi said Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashvi Prasad will be our Chief Minister face for the upcoming Bihar elections.

“If Nitish Kumar gives up CM seat and joins ‘mahagathbandhan’, then I think Tejashvi Prasad ji will be our CM face for 2020 Bihar elections,” he told ANI.

In February, Manjhi left the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for RJD-led grand alliance.

JDU and RJD fought in alliance with Nitish Kumar as its chief ministerial face in the last assembly elections in Bihar, while Tejashwi was appointed as the deputy chief minister post the elections.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal has already announced Tejashwi as its chief ministerial face for Bihar polls in 2020.

New Delhi, June 25: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said to keep secularism alive then fight for your rights, became a political power, vote for Muslim candidates.

Addressing a gathering in Maharastra’s Beed on Sunday, Owaisi told people “I want to tell you that if you want to keep secularism alive then fight for your rights, became a political power, vote for your (muslim) candidates”.

“If Muslims become a political power, secularism and democracy will be strengthened” he added.
