Farmers stopped by police to attend PM’s Jaipur rally: Congress

New Delhi, July 7: The Congress on Saturday said that farmers were stopped by Jaipur police to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi rally.  

Addressing a presser, Senior Congress leader RPN Singh stated: “Farmers were stopped by police to attend PM’s rally”. They were scared that the farmers would speak the truth. The PM has taken farmers from tractors to bullock carts”.

Not only this, Singh also stated “Chief Secretary of LPG distribution federation, Rajasthan, wrote a letter to PM stating that they were threatened to get people to rallies.

Hitting back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark that people have nowadays started calling the Congress as ‘Bail Gaadi’, Singh said that PM talks about corruption but his own party’s Chief Minister is accused of several cases of corruption.

The Congress leader also targeted Modi government for imposing GST on farming products.

Earlier in a day, PM Modi held a rally in Jaipur and laid the foundation stone for thirteen urban infrastructure projects.

Reacting to the projects, Singh said that the Prime Minister spoke about Refinery in Rajasthan, which was in fact started by Congress.
