Fans’ opinion should be considered, says Ajay Devgn

Mumbai, Aug 7: Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgan, who has a huge fan following across the nation, says his popularity is because of their love and appreciation and therefore he keeps their demands and wishes in mind while making any film.

After the failure of two highly-anticipated films “Tubelight” and ” Jab Harry Met Sejal”, the National Awards winning actor, asked if he keeps his fans in mind as they are quite excited about his upcoming film “Baadshaho”, said: “I think they(fans) are the one who makes you a star so their opinion should be considered. They really love you and they know what they want from you, so I think their opinion should matter.”

Ajay was speaking at a media interaction where the rest of the film’s cast and crew including Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal and Milan Luthria were also present.

Since within two months another film “Golmaal 4” is also releasing, Ajay said he did not think that the release of two films in a short span of time would affect their business.

“No, both the films are in different genres so the audience will get a chance to watch two different films. I am not worried about that,” he said.

“Baadshaho” is releasing on September 1.

Akshay’s ‘Gold Trailer’ shows one man’s struggle to make India proud

Gold poster Akshay Kumar

New Delhi, June 25: After releasing some intriguing posters, the makers of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Gold’ have finally dropped the official trailer of the upcoming film on Monday.

Gold is a story of one man’s dream, dedication and struggle. And, he thus makes India proud.

The trailer opens with a voice-over announcing the words, “Gold, British India,” and an intense-looking Akshay giving ‘the stare’ to the British flag. What transpires over a couple of minutes in the trailer is a mix of patriotism and sports, just everything one could have expected from Khiladi Kumar.

Akshay, perhaps for the first time, will be seen as a Bengali in the film and the trailer gives a peek into that persona.

Naagin star Mouni Roy appears for merely five seconds in the trailer chastising Akshay in Bengali. She plays the actor’s wife in Gold. Akshay then proceeds to deliver a monologue laced with an almost overbearing love for the country.

The over two-minute long trailer also featured Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sunny Kaushal, each of them a hockey player with a passion to play the game.

The film is about India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in 1948 at the 14th Olympic Games at London. It will release on Independence Day in 2018.

Post Gold, Akshay will be seen in Kesari which is again a period film based on the Battle of Saragarhi.
